Matt Trivett

Matt Trivett is owner of Ember and an award winning wedding photographer who combines elements of fine art, fantastic light, and landscape photography to bring a unique take to the wedding industry. A National Geographic-published photographer Matt’s an avid traveler, landscape photographer and adventure junky. He’s most alive when he’s drawing out the best, authentic versions of people and places from behind the lens of his camera. He prefers to do it repelling into a cave, but most of his weddings take place on the ground.

Sydney

Sydney is Ember’s primary Washington D.C. photographer and our resident art history nerd. After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History, she set her focus on the destination wedding photography business in Washington D.C. and Colorado. She excels in capturing the authentic, natural nature of her clients’ personalities and draws upon her love of nature to feature in the work. We think Sydney’s gift is her ability to capture raw emotion in a natural, authentic way that captivates and delights her clients. But she’d probably say it’s her hula hoop skills. She’s also a diehard Alabama fan and has a tattoo to prove it, just don’t ask her to tell you where.

Evan

Evan honed his photography skills as a sensitive artist in the body of a U.S. Army Photographer. He was a favorite among his superiors, and spent four years on active duty, a celebrity among his peers, for carrying a camera in addition to his rifle. After that, Evan worked in New York as a Manhattan portrait photographer for clients including celebrities and Wall Street executives. His attention to detail and eye for sophisticated compositions made him a perfect fit for Ember when he was selected first among more than 50 applicants to work with us. His laid-back personality and easy-going vibe is a perfect fit for any client, and weddings are no pressure for this veteran. Hooah!

Aubrey

Aubrey spent the last 10 years studying and fine-tuning his craft from Miami to New York, California to Paris, as a lighting technician on the set of Hollywood blockbusters including the Marvel Avengers movies. His love for photography started early before he could afford a roll of 100 Gold Kodak film. Aubrey exceeds expectations with every shot. He’ll put you at ease with his expertise and, as a father of twin toddlers, he’s sure to easily and confidently corral any group or rowdy bridal party, including adult toddlers of the bride’s family.
