His wedding photography career is prolific, with more than 500 weddings and 2 Million photos in his portfolio. Mike now shoots exclusively for Ember and is an avid weightlifter, swimmer, barefoot runner and father of twins. His goldendoodle's name is Fergie.

Matt Trivett

Matt Trivett is owner of Ember and an award winning wedding photographer who combines elements of fine art, fantastic light, and landscape photography to bring a unique take to the wedding industry. A National Geographic-published photographer, Matt was also named one of the best wedding photographers on The Knot for 2017. Matt is an avid traveler, and is most alive when he is drawing out the best and most authentic versions of people and places from behind the lens of his camera. .

Rachael is a prolific wedding photographer who has photographed more than 200 weddings in her career. She learned flash photography from Mike Moon, using it to catapult her technical skills to levels rarely seen in the industry today. At 5’4” and around 100 lbs, she’s tiny, but don’t let that fool you. Inside is a highly-experienced wedding industry professional who is equally comfortable creating quiet, peaceful moments for her clients as well as taking charge when things get crazy — she’ll keep you on your timeline and make sure you get every photo you need in a pinch. When not photographing weddings, you can find her drinking coffee, painting or hiking with her hubby and puppy.

Sydney is Ember’s primary Washington D.C. photographer and our resident art history nerd. After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History, she set her focus on the destination wedding photography business in Washington D.C. and Colorado. We think Sydney’s gift is her ability to capture raw emotion in a natural, authentic way that captivates and delights her clients. But she’d probably say it’s her hula hoop skills. She’s also a diehard Alabama fan and has a tattoo to prove it.

Brianna has a Bachelor’s Degree in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Trained as a studio and commercial photographer, she excels at multiple disciplines including fine art and photojournalism. Brianna learned photography old school, in the darkroom, where she invented a special method of printing cyanotype onto porcelain and glass ceramics. Yeah, we don’t know what that means either, but it sounds badass. She shoots more than 40 weddings per year and constantly pushes the envelope of style and creativity. When Brianna is not shooting weddings, she spends time with her stunningly handsome boyfriend, Zach, and forces him to pose for photos all over Georgia. He’s getting better at it. Slowly.
